Last season, we watched as the young idealistic Venetian Marco Polo (Lorenzo Richelmy) found himself a captive in the court of the legendary Kublai Khan (Benedict Wong). He soon learned to see the great leader as a father figure and by the end of the season, he was fighting alongside the Mongolians in a tense battle against their Chinese enemies. Season Two looks to build on this world of intrigue and danger.
